The catalogue documents the exhibition project Enzo Cacciola / Vincenzo Mascia, the first edition of the artist residency programme Developments in the Contemporary for the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing. The residencies, held in summer 2025, led to the creation of new works conceived by the artists in the cultural context of Beijing, presented from 30 July 2025 in the spaces of the Italian Embassy and at the Italy China Council Foundation Academy at Raffles City Beijing. The project, conceived and directed by Nuova Artemarea in collaboration with MuPa – Portofino Park Museum, is organised and promoted by the Italian Embassy in Beijing, the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing and the Italy China Council Foundation Academy. The research of Enzo Cacciola, a leading figure of Analytical Painting, and that of Vincenzo Mascia, an exponent of the international Madì movement, come together in a path devoted to contemporary artistic experimentation and to the promotion of Italian art in China.
