The catalogue documents the second edition of the residency programme Developments in the Contemporary for the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing, curated by Nuova Artemarea and dedicated to the dialogue between contemporary Italian art and Chinese culture. Its protagonists are the artists Davide Bramante and Luca Pozzi, whose works explore, through different languages, the perception of places, the relationship between art and science, and the dialogue between the contemporary and historical and architectural heritage. The project, conceived by the Italian Ambassador in Beijing Massimo Ambrosetti and coordinated by Federico Roberto Antonelli, is curated by Guicciardo Sassoli de’ Bianchi Strozzi, with co-curation by Manuela Valentini and Ren Jingge.
