Gioni David Parra. New trajectories of the sublime
Edited by Guicciardo Sassoli de’ Bianchi Strozzi and Lisa Parra
The catalogue accompanies the exhibition Gioni David Parra. New trajectories of the sublime, held from 14 March to 12 April 2025 at the Loggiato di San Bartolomeo in Palermo. The publication explores the artist’s sculptural research, centred on the working of marble and stone, examining the relationship between volume and lightness, matter and space. The works, ranging from sculptures and installations to wall pieces, engage with the Italian tradition of marble working and with the historic architecture of the exhibition venue.
