On Thursday 9 July 2026 at 6:30 pm, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Beijing hosted the special launch event for the exhibition Chinese Voices on Palladio: From Classical Architecture to Contemporary Experiment, with its opening on 10 July 2026 at the Tsinghua University Museum.

Following the success of the National Museum of China exhibition dedicated to the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, which welcomed more than half a million visitors, the new exhibition explores Palladio’s cultural legacy in the contemporary world, with a special focus on China and on contemporary art.

The exhibition was presented by two curators from the Italian-Chinese team, Professor Pierre-Alain Croset of the Politecnico di Torino and Professor Li Luke of Tsinghua University, while the curator and president of Nuova Artemarea Guicciardo Sassoli de’ Bianchi Strozzi introduced the section devoted to contemporary works.

The session was closed by Professor Guido Beltramini of the Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio.
