On 16 April, in the Auditorium of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Beijing, the exhibition Chinese Voices on Palladio was officially presented to the press and the cultural community. The project is devoted to the dialogue between the legacy of Andrea Palladio and contemporary Chinese architectural culture.
The exhibition stems from the collaboration between the Politecnico, through its Department of Architecture and Design (DAD), and Tsinghua University, and is part of the wider programme of initiatives linked to the Italian institutional presence in China.
The presentation took place during the visit to China of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, who was able to visit a preview of the exhibition at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Beijing.
The event was opened by Federico Roberto Antonelli, Director of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Beijing. Speakers included Michele Bonino, Director of the Department of Architecture and Design of the Politecnico, Zhang Li of Tsinghua University and Guicciardo Sassoli of the Nuova Artemarea ETS Association. The presentation was also attended by Massimo Bray, Director General of the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani, and by representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Italian Embassy in Beijing.
