On Thursday 10 April 2025, at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Beijing, Guicciardo Sassoli de’ Bianchi Strozzi gave a lecture on Margherita Sarfatti, a central figure in Italian art criticism and art promotion in the twentieth century.

The talk, part of the series Female Portraits. Women of Twentieth-Century Italian Art, explored Sarfatti’s role in spreading the avant-garde movements, from Futurism to the Novecento group, and her contribution to Italian culture in the early twentieth century. The lecture was held in Italian with Chinese interpretation, fostering knowledge of Italian art history among the local audience.
